described as "an innovative lighting camraman, he was one of the first to use a
zoom lense....for 30 years his style dominated production quality at Fox."

SERIES ONE: TYPE 1 BODY
(METAL PIN JOINTS)
ASTRONAUT - had a blue nylon jumpsuit,black boots,white plastic belt at waist,grey helmet
with visor,and maybe a rifle.
CORNELIUS - had brown
ears, green ape suit and tights with brown or purple "leather" accents, brown
moccasins - no accessories.
DR. ZAIUS - had brown and tan "archeological" suit with black boots. no
accessories (boots came in two styles - plain black "superhero" type or with ape
writing on the sides)
DR. ZIRA - she came with a two piece ape ladies dress suit. leather work on top part and
long skirt.
she also had tan-brown short cowboy boots. no accessories.
SOLDIER APE - had gorilla soldier "leather" vested uniform top that came in
several possible styles, (grey-brown-dark blue-black-also one with
"scaley-lizard" texture) black lace-up molded army boots brown 2 pouch bandolier
pair of gloves with same fabric and leather as the uniform top, M-16 black plastic rifle
with string strap
SERIES TWO - TYPE II BODY - (PLASTIC JOINTS)
GALEN - identical to the cornelius figure except has green ears. no accessories.
VIRDON - blonde haired
human, ragged tan pants and top and a dark brown vest and brown moccasins - no
accessories.
BURKE - dark haired human, ragged tan pants dark shirt and "net" vest and brown
moccasins, no accessories.
GENERAL URSUS - has a large molded head with a permanent ape general's helmet, has a
purple suit with "mustard" or "coffee" colored leather. has a special
bandolier with a holster to fit a sword has a grey/silver plastic sword. pair of black
boots with creases in toes, M-16 rifle with string strap
GENERAL URKO - has no helmet but has a solid black face that is unique, usually has a
black "leather" soldier style top but with permanent cuffs, and no gloves. can
also have a black soldiers top with matching gloves. either version comes with special
bandolier with sword holster has a gray/silver sword, pair of black boots with
creases in toes, M-16 ape rifle with string strap
