My name is Mike T. and I have been a fan of this science fiction franchise since I was but seven years of age when the live action television series became my favorite show. You can imagine how devastated I was when it was cancelled after only fourteen weeks! At any rate I would like to ask for your assistance because I would like to alert others with a similiar interest in asking Twentienth Century Fox to release episodes of the animated and live action interpretations of "Planet of The Apes" on VHS and DVD formats. Its a continuous source of frustration for me and many others to rely on inferior bootlegs. I know that many have a preference to "Planet of the Apes" in its original cinematic form however many of them also share an affection for the televisied counterparts which succeeded them as well. Please get in touch with me.

OCM/F (Orange County Mensa, Female) seeks M/SO (Male Sentient Orangutan) living in the
40th century for fun, frolic and long walks along the beach. It helps if you're the
Minister of Science and Chief Defender of the Faith, and have a strong desire to battle
Charlton Heston whilst exterminating the human race. Do you remember me? We met at Ape
City's assembly meeting; you glared at me, muttered "evil human," and then you
started to recite: "Beware the beast man, for he is the devil's pawn. Alone among
God's primates, he kills for sport or lust or greed
shun him, for he is the harbinger
of death." I was entranced, I was lost forever. What is this thing called love? P.S.
I'll bring the flea dip, you bring the bananas. - Sincerely, Lovelorn in Santa Ana, CA

I'm an Aussie APE collector with a pretty comprehensive collection but am looking to hook up with other collectors in the hope that I might be able find more stuff ( sounds good in theory). I also work for 2oth Century Fox Home Entertainment here in Australia and come across snippets of info on upcoming APE activity. i.e: Inkworks ( I think) will be releasing all new collector cards next spring. Also Hasbro may be releasing a series of 5 seven inch figures ( if interest is strong from retailers at Toy fair).

I'm a grad student at Ohio University and I am also the author of an original POTA story that represents my own take on a different reality following the events of the first movie. It is a crossover story with the universe of another favorite sci-fi saga of mine Battlestar Galactica, and has been posted in installments on the archive of the Battlestar Galactica Fanfic List, which can be found at www.oct.net/~red/piper/index.html. I have made a strenuous effort to maintain continuity and consistency with the first movie and also provide some further background insights on the characters. I still hope that if a new POTA movie is ever made that it will follow up on the original series (which I don't think were given a proper sense of closure) instead of remaking it in an offbeat fashion.
